Bettas bred by the show participant themselves must compete.
In the case of detecting Bettas registered as bred and that are not, it will mean their automatic elimination and disqualification of the participant and all the fish presented.
In the contest, all the tails included in the IBC standard in its two genders, male and female, as well as the colors included in the same IBC standard, can be shown.
The final categories that the fish will be placed into will be determined by the judges, based on the actual fish entered for the contest.
Due to the animal welfare law of Spain, wild bettas cannot be entered into the competition as they are considered exotic.
The first 3 in each category will get a prize.
The registration price per betta will be 5 euros, 3 euros per betta for IBC members and €1 for SBC members.
The registration limit for bettas per participant is 10 in total.
Registrations can be made from the publication of these rules until September 10, 2024, or complete a capacity of 300 fish.

The payment method for the registration will be provided with the confirmation response email along with the registration number of the registered bettas.
Bettas must be brought by the participant or someone on their behalf.
Those who cannot come to the event in person can send the Bettas by express courier. In this case, the expenses (both outbound and return) will be borne by the participant.
Friday, September 20, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. the fish must be in the display boxes.
Due to the animal welfare law of Spain, the sale of animals is NOT permitted in any contest, but the transfer is provided that it is made in writing, correctly identifying both the person who transfers and the person receiving the transfer and, in this case, the or the bettas he gives up.

The bettas must come correctly identified with the numbering provided to them. The members of the organization will place the bettas with the identification indicated.
Bettas will be disqualified:
-Because they are sick.
-To detect that it is not a bred fish but a purchased one. (It is recommended to have videos of them as juveniles and of the parents, which may be required by the organization)
-For not complying with the conditions of the IBC standard in terms of restrictions or queues not included in the standard.
The Bettas will be received the days before the event. The organization will receive the Bettas and keep them in facilities suitable for them, treating them with the utmost seriousness and affection. Even so, if the case of deterioration or death of any Betta submitted to the competition occurs, the organization will not be responsible, nor will it pay any compensation to its owner.
